شیوع پوسیدگی دندان و عوامل مرتبط با آن در کودکان 7 و 8 ساله: یک مطالعه مقطعی

زمینه و هدف: مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین شیوع پوسیدگی دندان در کودکان 7 و 8 سال و عوامل مرتبط با آن انجام شده است.

مواد و روش ها: این مطالعه مقطعی- تحلیلی روی 2229 دانش آموز مقطع ابتدائی سنین 7 و 8 سال و به روش سرشماری انجام شده است. جهت جمع آوری اطلاعات از چک لیست محقق ساخته روای و پایا استفاده گردید. داده ها با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 24 و با استفاده از آزمون های تی تست، آنالیز واریانس، کای اسکوئر و رگرسیون لجستیک انجام گردید.

یافته ها: میانگین (انحراف معیار) شاخص پوسیدگی دندان های شیری (DMFT) کل دانش آموزان برابر 3/65(2/98) بود. میانگین(انحراف معیار) DMFT در گروه سنی 7 و 8 سال به ترتیب برابر 3/95(3/23) و 3/65(2/93) بود که بین گروه های سنی از نظر این شاخص اختلاف معنی داری وجود نداشت ولی این میزان در گروه سنی 7 سال بیشتر بود (0/05>p). همچنین میزان DMFT در پسران به طور معنی داری بالاتر از دختران بود(0/05>p). میزان شیوع پوسیدگی دندان های شیری در کل دانش آموزان، گروه سنی 7 و 8 سال به ترتیب 82 درصد، 83/22 درصد و 81/33 درصد بود. همچنین شیوع پوسیدگی دندان های شیری در دختران و پسران به ترتیب 82/3 درصد و 81/73 درصد بود. نتایح رگرسیون لجستیک نشان داد که متغیر های سطح تحصیلات مادر و داشتن بیمه با شاخص DMFT ارتباط معنی داری دارد(0/05>p).

نتیجه گیری: با توجه به شیوع پوسیدگی بالای دندان های شیری در دانش آموزان 7 و 8 ساله، برگزاری دوره های آموزشی جهت افزایش سواد سلامت دهان و دندان برای والدین و دانش آموزان، افزایش دسترسی کودکان به خدمات بهداشتی مرتبط با سلامت دهان و دندان می تواند در پیشگیری از شیوع پوسیدگی دندان در کودکان موثر باشد.
