Health promotion is the process of empowering people to increase control over their health promotion. Hospitals should play an important role in promoting health, preventing diseases and providing rehabilitation services. The dominant approach in quality management of hospitals is setting service standards. In 2006, the World Health Organization (WHO) published 5 final standards and 24 sub-standards for the self-evaluation of health promoting hospitals (HPH). This tool has been translated into Farsi and is available to Iranian hospitals through the publisher's website. These standards along with sub-standards were used in the self-evaluation of hospitals that wanted to establish these standards until 2020. Some Iranian hospitals have also used this tool for self-evaluation purposes. After being revised in 2020, the HPH standards were published 5 final standards and 18 sub-standards, which are aligned with the new global strategy of HPH for 2021-2025. These standards have currently been translated into Persian and are available on the WHO HPH network website for use in the self-evaluation of Iranian hospitals.

Background and Objectives: The covid-19, in recent years, has been the most important health threat and underdeveloped rural populations are more vulnerable to disease, including death. This study was conducted aimed the investigating the preventive Covid19 behaviors according to Extended Parallel Process Model in rural populations.

Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from April to September 2022 on 900 villagers’ population with 18-65 years old ages in Sistan region using a multi-stage random sampling method. The data were collected by a questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed by a specific expert panel and Cronbach's alpha test. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage), and analytical statistics (chi-square tests, independent t test, and Pearson correlation coefficient test and linear regression) in SPSS software version 21.

Results: The Participants in the terms of knowledge, the perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, self-efficacy, perceived response efficacy, and behavior erned respectively, the 86.75, 81.49, 81.91, 78.85, 79.74, and 82.86 percent of the total scores. The majority of subjects (54.6%) were in the fear control process, and the perceived efficiency predicted 12% of the Covid-19 preventive behaviors (p<0/05).

Conclusion: The results showed that the participants had a weaker coping appraisal than the threat appraisal and the majority of them were in the process of fear control. Therefore, in order to encourage people to take preventive measures against the disease, it is necessary to carry out educational interventions in order to improve the appraisal of coping.

Background and Objective: The use of digital games is highly prevalent among adolescents and can adversely affect their physical and mental health. The aim of this study was to determine the predictors of the stages of change in problematic digital games in high school students using a transtheoretical model.

Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study was performed on 703 high school students in Bushehr 2020. A valid and reliable researcher-made questionnaire was performed for data gathering and analyzed using SPSS ver. 22 by descriptive indices, one-way ANOVA, chi-square, and rank ordered logistic regression.

Results: According to the results, self-efficacy, dramatic relief and social freedom were the predictors of the change stages of reducing and quitting digital games. This means that girls and students with higher self-efficacy (P = 0.037, OR = 1.054), have a better chance of being in higher stages of change and by increasing a unit of dramatic relief score (P = 0.025, OR = 1.09) and social freedom (OR = 1.135, P <0.001), the chances of individuals to be in the upper stages of change increased.

Conclusion: It seems that the design of educational interventions based on self-efficacy variables and taking into account the change processes of dramatic relief and social freedom, which increase the chances of people to be placed in higher stages of change, in reducing the behavior of digital games of students, especially for boys will be effective.

Background and Objective: health practices of pregnant women affect the maternal and neonatal health and pregnancy outcomes. We aimed to determine the effect of virtual childbirth preparation education on improving the health practices of pregnant women.

Materials & Methods: A quasiexperimental study was conducted in three phases on 633 pregnant women covered by health centers in the south of Tehran in 2019. Since the number of eligible individuals were close to the sample size, sampling was not done and the census method was used. In total, 310 of individuals were placed in the intervention group and 323 individuals in the control group. In the pre-test phase, the health practices of pregnant women questionnaire were completed by women in both intervention and control groups. Then women in the intervention group participated in virtual childbirth preparation education. In the post-test phase, the questionnaire was completed again by women in the 34th to 38th week of pregnancy. We used the SPSS 26 software for data analysis and the effectiveness of educational intervention was evaluated by Generalized Linear Model.

Results: The mean scores of participants in the intervention group in the aspects of nutrition, special health care for pregnant women and correct pregnancy information were significantly higher than the control group (P < 0.001) and the overal mean scores of health practices of pregnant women in the intervention group (90.53±9.71) were significantly higher than the control group (83.86±10.58) (P<0.001). Among the participants charactristics, nationality had an effect on the relationship between virtual education and health practices of pregnant women (P=0.03).

Conclusion: virtual childbirth preparation education had a positive effect on the health practices of pregnant women. When it is not possible to hold face-to-face childbirth preparation education, virtual education is a suitable alternative.
