The Investigating Rate of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy in Reduces Perceived Stress and Increase Life Expectancy in Women Suffering Coronary Artery Disease

Background and Objective: One of the the important issues in coronary artery disease patients is psychological problems such as perceived stress and the decrease in the hope of life The purpose of th study was  investigate the effect  of cognitive- therapy based on mindedness on reducing perceived stress and increase life expectancy in women suffering coronary artery disease.
Methods: The present study has been developed in two-group experimental design and has been applied in three stages on a total of 30 female patients with Coronary artery disease who have been randomly divided into two groups of test and control. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy was conducted for the experimental group. While the control group did not receive any intervention during this period .After completing the sessions  the, posttest and one month after the intervention, follow-up was administrated to experimental and control group. Cohen (1983) perceived stress and Miler (1988) life expectancy questions were applied as the data collection tools. In order to achieve the results, a multivariate covariance analysis was used.
Results: Before the intervention, no significant difference was observed between the mean scores of the perceived stress and hope of life among the two groups. But after intervention and one month after the intervention, there was a significant difference between the mean score of the perceived stress (p< 0.001) and hope of life expectation  (p< 0.001) in  both groups(p< 0.001).
 
Conclusion: According to the findings, it can be said that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy was effective in reduces perceived stress and increase life expectancy in support women suffering coronary artery disease.
